1. Acceptance
By using SecondBrainFolio you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. What SecondBrainFolio is
SecondBrainFolio is a personal learning tool that lets you save YouTube and TikTok video URLs into life categories, generates AI summaries and combined briefs across those videos, delivers them by SMS or web, and exports them to Markdown. We do not host or rehost video content; we store metadata, transcripts (sourced from third-party providers or that you have provided), your notes, and AI-generated text.
2a. Transcript sourcing
Transcripts shown in SecondBrainFolio are retrieved from third-party transcript providers (such as Supadata) or pasted by the user. SecondBrainFolio does not scrape or download YouTube or TikTok content directly. If a transcript is unavailable, we generate a metadata-only brief from the title and channel name plus your stated context. You agree not to use SecondBrainFolio for any purpose that violates the source platform's Terms of Service.
2b. SMS messaging (TCPA)
By verifying a US mobile number in Settings, you consent to receive SMS and MMS messages from SecondBrainFolio at that number for the purpose of delivering briefs, follow-up reminders, and weekly digests. Message frequency varies based on your activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, or END at any time to opt out. Reply START to resubscribe. We will never share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.
2c. Affiliate disclosure
SecondBrainFolio may include links to third-party products at the bottom of briefs. Some of those links are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission when you click through and purchase. The earnings do not affect what we recommend; matching is based on the category and your stated focus areas only. We disclose affiliate links inline on every brief that contains them.
3. Accounts
You're responsible for your account. We use passwordless email links by default; keep your email secure. You may delete your account at any time from Settings; deletion is immediate and permanent.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use SecondBrainFolio to violate YouTube's Terms of Service or any law. Don't attempt to scrape, mass-process, or redistribute content. Don't use SecondBrainFolio to generate harmful, infringing, or harassing material from third-party videos.
5. Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. You can cancel at any time and your plan remains active until the end of the paid period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods.
6. AI content
Summaries, briefs, watch recommendations, and other text are generated by language models (Anthropic Claude, optionally OpenAI for transcription). They may be inaccurate. Verify anything important before acting on it. We are not liable for decisions made based on AI output.
7. Service availability
We try to keep SecondBrainFolio running and reliable, but we provide it "as is" without any warranty. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SecondBrainFolio is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll notify users of material changes by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
